Community guidelines

Community Guidelines

MyEventLane is a community-first marketplace for events. These guidelines set clear expectations for everyone using the platform.

Respectful behaviour

  • Communicate clearly and politely
  • Honour bookings and RSVPs — cancel if you cannot attend when possible
  • Do not abuse, threaten, or intimidate others
  • Do not spam listings, messages, or reviews

Inclusion

We welcome diverse communities, cultures, and accessibility needs. Event listings should accurately describe access information where organisers know it. Attendees should respect how others participate in events.

Discrimination, hate speech, and exclusionary conduct are not acceptable on MyEventLane.

Harassment

Harassment includes unwanted contact, bullying, sexual harassment, and targeted abuse. We take reports seriously and may remove content or restrict accounts.

If you experience harassment at an event, seek safety first, then report through the organiser and platform channels.

Event organiser expectations

Organisers should provide accurate event details, communicate changes promptly, handle refund requests fairly, and comply with applicable laws and venue requirements. Organisers are responsible for their events.

When we step in

We may review listings, messages, or accounts that breach these guidelines or put others at risk. Actions can include warnings, content removal, or account restrictions.
