Trust and safety
Trust & Safety
MyEventLane is built for real-world community events. We expect everyone — attendees, organisers, and vendors — to participate safely and respectfully.
Community expectations
- Be honest in event listings and communications
- Treat others with respect, including staff and volunteers
- Follow venue rules and local laws
- Do not use the platform to harass, scam, or mislead people
Reporting concerns
If something on MyEventLane does not feel right:
- Event or listing issue — use report options on the event page where available, or contact the organiser.
- Platform or account issue — visit the Help Centre or contact support.
- Urgent safety risk — contact local emergency services first; then tell us so we can review the listing.
Fraud prevention
- Pay for tickets through MyEventLane checkout
- Check event details, organiser information, and refund policy before you buy
- Be cautious of pressure to pay outside the platform
- Never share passwords or full payment card details in messages
Stripe processes payments on MyEventLane; organisers connect their own payout accounts.
Safe participation
- Share only information needed to book or RSVP
- Keep your account secure with a strong password
- Meet in public, well-lit places for pickup or collection events where possible
- Look after personal belongings at events
