Trust and safety

Trust & Safety

MyEventLane is built for real-world community events. We expect everyone — attendees, organisers, and vendors — to participate safely and respectfully.

Community expectations

  • Be honest in event listings and communications
  • Treat others with respect, including staff and volunteers
  • Follow venue rules and local laws
  • Do not use the platform to harass, scam, or mislead people

Reporting concerns

If something on MyEventLane does not feel right:

  1. Event or listing issue — use report options on the event page where available, or contact the organiser.
  2. Platform or account issue — visit the Help Centre or contact support.
  3. Urgent safety risk — contact local emergency services first; then tell us so we can review the listing.

Fraud prevention

  • Pay for tickets through MyEventLane checkout
  • Check event details, organiser information, and refund policy before you buy
  • Be cautious of pressure to pay outside the platform
  • Never share passwords or full payment card details in messages

Stripe processes payments on MyEventLane; organisers connect their own payout accounts.

Safe participation

  • Share only information needed to book or RSVP
  • Keep your account secure with a strong password
  • Meet in public, well-lit places for pickup or collection events where possible
  • Look after personal belongings at events
